June 16|12:00 pm7:00 pm

Young Mind Big Ideas (Six Themes by Young Artists) by OneHouse Arts is a new art exhibit opening in the upstairs art gallery at Blossom Market Hall! Come join us for the opening reception on June 16th from 12-7pm!

The art will be on display June 15th until August 15th.

OneHouse Arts is an experimental art school and philosophy dedicated to helping children discover art on their own by asking questions about their ideas, introducing them to various methods, staying open to their artistic inclinations, providing them with space to create, and giving their art a place in the world at large.

We combine the spirit of active research, art experimentation, and self-expression with the cognitive developmental process of children to improve their growing aesthetic ability and image communication skills while ultimately establishing a more intimate relationship between people and art.

Through drawing, painting, clay & paper-based sculpting, printmaking and creative writing, the lessons support the children to discover art on their own through inquiry and exploration. Open-ended exercises expand on elements of art and principles of design, and encourage kids to engage the personal and familiar as well as wider and imaginary worlds.

OneHouseArts provides physically safe materials and fosters an emotionally safe environment by practicing curiosity, open-mindedness, and respect. Our class culture of appreciation and playful experimentation builds confidence and promotes curiosity.

We have participated in the Pasadena Chalk Festival, the Chinese American Museum Zine Fest, a Velaslavasay Panorama art show, a show at Japanese Friendship Garden, San Diego, and Bob Baker Day. Past notable exhibitions include “Animal Encyclopedia” at Human Resources LA and “The World of Tomorrow: Disney Family Museum”.
