Paul was the founder of a coffee shop called, ‘Bourbon Street Cafe’- the first to bring single-origin, specialty coffee to his neighborhood of Koreatown, Los Angeles.
During that time he met his lovely wife Sandy and realized he couldn’t start a family working 80 hours a week on his feet. So he sold the cafe, and focused on family. (Since then, the place has changed its name to ‘Alchemist Coffee Project’.)
Sandy and Paul’s kids are now in school and Paul is ready to get back into the food and beverage business. This time, with Sandy’s help, Paul will serve boba and milk tea, something they both love.
Although the drink being served has changed, the same passion and habits will apply at Tea 88: Customers first. Tasty recipes. Focus on consistency. And as a small business owner, loving what you do.
But he’s now a father of two, so maybe 79 hours a week this time.
